Breitling LIP Chronomat reference 808. Manual caliber Venus 175. Diameter around 38mm without crown.
The Breitling Chronomat with its rotating slide-rule was patented in 1941. In 1954, the outstanding usefulness and success of the Chronomat inspired the birth of what has since become the most famous Breitling of all, the Navitimer, a chronograph with the slide-rule redesigned for civil aviation pilots.
This version, made in 1968, is a rare “Lip” model, carrying the name of the largest horological house in France from this period.
Original dial and hands. Very good condition with nice patina.
